What’s Involved?

We undertake a site survey to determine what needs to be done, and any levelling or access issues to address, which will be allowed for in our quote. At this stage we can discuss what need to be moved, levelled off, etc. We can remove pre‑existing structures and bases if required.

We work with you to make sure we have understood your requirements, and will suggest options to meet your expectations. Our pricing is realistic: we may not be the cheapest you can find, but that is because we pride ourselves on top quality materials, superior design, attention to detail and workmanship. Our garden rooms are beautiful and are built to last, and we believe the devil is in the detail.

We will discuss timescales with you and keep you informed of progress. We can manage everything from insulation, heating and air conditioning, through to all the electrics, broadband/Wi-Fi and lighting.

Additional landscaping can be incorporated for the finishing touches.

Whether you are having a new summerhouse, extending your outside living space, garden office, or creating a therapy room or workshop, there are some practical requirements that you need to be aware of. We will work with you every step of the way, with detailed planning and open and honest communications, so you can be confident the whole process will be seamless.

Rules governing outbuildings apply to sheds, playhouses, and garages, as well as other additional garden buildings such as sauna cabins, garden rooms, and many other kinds of structure, if they are designed for a purpose that is ‘incidental to the enjoyment of the dwellinghouse’. Outbuildings are considered to be permitted development, so they do not need planning permission, subject to certain conditions. They mustn’t be placed on raised platforms, nor include verandas or balconies without permission. This is an area where we can provide some guidance, but this website will tell you more.

Unlike many other building companies, we will lay the foundations and undertake all groundwork preparations for you. We will also look at orientation, flooding potential and access during the design process. On-site we will advise of any access requirements and will take into consideration slopes, steps and gate widths.
